Job summary

ABB in Malaysia is seeking an Electrical Engineer, MV & LV Electrification Solutions, to design and verify electrical systems for MV/LV projects, producing drawings, calculations, and technical documentation. The role collaborates with manufacturing, testing, procurement and project teams, participates in design reviews, and drives continuous improvement and engineering tool effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 2-5 years of MV/LV experience.
• Experience in electrical design, drawings, calculations, and design verification.
• Knowledge of electrical standards, safety, quality and cybersecurity requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and planning skills; able to manage multiple deliverables.
• Effective communication and collaboration across functions.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering solutions for MV/LV electrification projects with drawings, calculations, and documentation.
• Create and maintain drawings, BOMs and project deliverables for manufacturing, fabrication and construction.
• Contribute to design reviews, verification activities and implement design changes as needed.
• Deliver design activities aligned with standards, safety, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, testing, procurement and project teams to ensure successful execution.
• Participate in meetings, presenting technical solutions and progress updates.
• Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of engineering tools and processes.
