Job summary

Tortuga in Penang, George Town, is seeking a Store Operations Supervisor to oversee operations across multiple retail locations, ensuring adherence to company standards in customer service, merchandising, inventory, staffing, and procedures.

You will coach and schedule teams, monitor performance, drive sales, manage stock counts, and ensure safety and compliance, with regular store visits and occasional travel between locations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Retail Management or related field.

JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION:

Oversee operations across multiple retail locations, ensuring adherence to company standards in customer service, merchandising, inventory, staffing, and operational procedures while driving store performance and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Store Operations

• Ensure the smooth operation of multiple retail locations and adherence to established procedures.
• Conduct regular store visits and operational checks to ensure stores are clean, organized, adequately staffed, and operate to company standards.

Team Supervision & Development

• Supervise, coach, and support retail teams to meet performance and customer service standards.
• Create and coordinate staffing schedules based on business needs and store coverage.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and overall team performance.

Sales & Customer Service

• Monitor store sales performance and support teams in achieving established sales targets.
• Ensure consistent customer service standards across all retail locations.
• Address customer service concerns and upscale significant issues to management.

Inventory Management

• Oversee inventory activities to ensure stock accuracy and availability across all stores.
• Participate in all stock counts across company retail locations, supporting accurate physical counts and reconciliation.
• Investigate and address stock discrepancies and inventory concerns.

Compliance & Operational Standards

• Ensure compliance with company procedures, policies, and health & safety standards.
• Escalate significant staffing or compliance, or operational concerns to management.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain accurate records relating to store performance, staffing, inventory, and operational issues.
• Identify and recommend opportunities to improve store operations, efficiency, and customer service.

Key Performance Indicators

• Store performance and sales targets across locations.
• Customer service satisfaction and issue resolution.
• Team performance, including attendance and productivity.
• Inventory accuracy and effective stock management.

Job Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in Retail Management or a related field.
• 3–5 years of retail operations or supervisory experience.
