Job summary

FRD Performance Motorsport (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Motorcycle Spare Parts Trainer to develop and deliver comprehensive training on spare parts for internal staff and authorised dealers.

The role focuses on enhancing product knowledge, parts identification, and after-sales service excellence. The trainer will create materials, conduct classroom and hands-on sessions, and support dealers with parts compatibility and sales performance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in the automotive field is required.
• Experience teaching motorcycle spare parts is preferred.
• Strong presentation and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver comprehensive spare parts training programmes.
• Conduct classroom, practical, and on-the-job training sessions.

Job description

The Motorcycle Spare Parts Trainer develops and delivers comprehensive spare parts training programmes to internal employees and authorised dealers. The position aims to enhance product knowledge, improve spare parts identification competency, strengthen parts management practices, and support overall after-sales service excellence and dealer performance.

1. Product Knowledge Training

• - Conduct training on motorcycle spare parts and components.
• - Explain the functions, specifications, and applications of motorcycle parts.
• - Train participants to identify genuine, aftermarket, and compatible parts.
• - Provide knowledge of different motorcycle models and their respective spare parts.
• - Update trainees on new model launches and new spare parts introductions.

2. Training Development & Delivery

• - Develop training materials, presentations, and product catalogues.
• - Conduct classroom, practical, and on-the-job training.
• - Organise technical product knowledge workshops.
• - Provide hands-on demonstrations on parts identification and installation.
• - Evaluate trainees' understanding through assessments and practical tests.

3. Dealers Support

• - Conduct product training for authorised dealers if required.
• - Assist dealers in improving spare parts knowledge and sales performance.
• - Provide technical support for parts identification and compatibility enquiries.

4. Training Assessment & Performance Monitoring

• - Assess trainees' product knowledge and competency.
• - Monitor training effectiveness and identify knowledge gaps.
• - Prepare training reports and attendance records.
• - Recommend improvement plans for underperforming trainees.
• - Maintain training records and competency assessments.

5. Training Administration & Coordination

• - Prepare annual and monthly training schedules.
• - Coordinate training venues, equipment, and materials.
• - Maintain updated training documentation.
• - Support new product launches and company training programmes.
• - Keep updated with motorcycle technology and spare parts developments.
• - Gather feedback from dealers and workshop personnel.
• - Improve training materials and delivery methods.
• - Share product knowledge and operational best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• - Diploma or higher qualification in the automotive field.
• - Good knowledge of motorcycle spare parts and components.
• - Experience in motorcycle spare parts teaching.
• - Good presentation and communication skills.
• - Ability to conduct technical and practical training.
• - Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• - Willingness to travel if required.
