Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician for its plastic injection molding operations. You will repair and maintain molding equipment, perform routine inspections, and ensure safe, efficient operation in line with the preventive maintenance program.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma/certificate in engineering, has ISO 9001 experience, and can communicate in simple English. Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/certificate/vocational in engineering or related fields.
• Experience of Plastic Injection Molding industry with ISO 9001.
• Experience as a Maintenance of Plastic Injection Molding Industry.
• Self-initiative and good command of technical skills.
• Able to speak and write simple English.
• Computer knowledge in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain molding equipment and facilities to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Inspect machinery for defects and preventative maintenance needs; repair/replace parts as required.
• Determine causes of equipment failures and suggest corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Assist in tooling and mold changes as production schedules require.
• Coordinate with supervisors and outside contractors; manage parts and lead times.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in injection molding areas; monitor inventory.
• Schedule and complete the Preventative Maintenance Program.

Repair and maintain all molding equipment and facilities expediently to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment required.

Inspect all machinery for defects and potential problem in accordance with the preventative maintenance program, repairing and replacing parts as required.

Order appropriate replacement parts and fluids through the Production Snr. Executive/Production Executive and Molding Manager.

Determine reasons for equipment failures and advise Production Snr. Executive/Production Executive and Manager on corrective and preventive actions to eliminate future downtime.

Troubleshoot and repair all electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems in the molding department.

Assist in tooling and mold changes as required by the production schedule.

Execute lock out/tag out procedures as required on all molding department equipment and facilities.

Maintain a high departmental standard of cleanliness and safety practices in the injection molding areas.

Maintain inventory controls for cost effective operations.

Made arrangement of repairs work/maintenance with outside contractors on quotation with leadtime and submit to superior.

Feedback to planner equipment breakdown and repair leadtime.

Schedule and complete the "Preventative Maintenance Program".

Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.

Requirement :

Diploma/certificate/vocational in engineering or related fields. And/or

Experience of Plastic Injection Molding industry with ISO 9001
