Job summary

IKD (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD is seeking a die-casting production team member responsible for sample trials, PPAP tasks, and achieving daily production plans. You will assist in mold handling, inspect machines, ensure 5S discipline, and report any abnormalities promptly.

You will participate in workflow improvements, support lean assembly methods, and help maintain equipment and tooling. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety training, and accurate MES swipe logging on site.

Qualifications

• More than 1 year of work experience in manufacturing positions; fresh graduates can apply.
• Diploma or above in mechanical related majors.
• Familiar with the die-casting process; able to identify product quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for sample trial production and PPAP trial production, completing necessary tasks for the product.
• Assist in mold lifting and surrounding auxiliary work during the trial production phase.
• Achieve the daily production plan for die-casting and complete the work arrangement.
• Inspect die-casting machines, maintain 5S and equipment.
• Execute daily production plan including mold replacement, parameter setup per process standards, and first piece confirmation.
• Report on-site product status in a timely manner.
• Report process abnormalities to the team leader and swipe MES cards timely.
• Perform machine edge processing for special situations.
• Quality inspection and daily measurement tool checks.
• On-site 5S inventory before handover ends.
• Participate in workshop efficiency improvement and lean assembly line initiatives.
• Provide on-the-job assistance during equipment maintenance and coordinate with team leader.
• Manage team safety; participate in safety training; maintain 5S and safety on site.
• Supervise hazardous operations and complete temporary tasks assigned by superiors.

Job description

Responsibility 1: Responsible for sample trial production and PPAP trial production

1) Responsible for sample trial production and PAPP trial production, completing the necessary tasks for the product.

2) Assist in the mold lifting and surrounding auxiliary work during the trial production phase.

Responsibility 2: Responsible for achieving the daily production plan for die-casting

1) Attend the daily pre shift meeting before handover to work and complete the work arrangement of the class leader.

2) Responsible for the inspection of die-casting machines, surrounding 5s, and equipment.

3) Execute daily production plan according to job standards, including lifting (mold replacement), setting accurate parameters according to process standards, and first piece confirmation.

4) Responsible for timely reporting of on-site products.

5) Responsible for promptly reporting process abnormalities to the team leader and accurately swiping MES cards in a timely manner.

6) Responsible for machine edge processing of special situations such as succulent products.

7) Responsible for product quality inspection and daily inspection of measuring tools.

8) Responsible for conducting a 5S inventory on site before the handover ends.

Responsibility 3: Participate in workshop efficiency improvement

1) Participate in workshop efficiency improvement activities and implement improvement plans.

2) Participate in lean assembly line and propose improvement suggestions.

3) Participate in TPS improvement according to factory requirements.

Responsibility 4: Responsible for the daily maintenance of team equipment and tooling molds.

1) Responsible for daily inspection and cleaning of equipment and tooling molds in this group.

2) Responsible for providing feedback to the team leader on any abnormalities in equipment and tooling molds.

Responsibility 5: Responsible for providing on-the-job assistance during equipment maintenance

1) Responsible for coordinating with the team leader to arrange on-the-job assistance during long-term equipment maintenance.

Responsibility 6: Responsible for team safety management

1) Responsible for regularly participating in safety training organized by the Safety Management Department.

2) Maintain the 5S and safety situation on site for our team.

4) Participate in the supervision and inspection of hazardous operations within the area.

5) Complete temporary tasks assigned by superiors.

Job requirements:

More than 1 year of work experience in manufacturing positions(Excellent fresh graduates can apply);

Diplomaor above in mechanical related majors.

- Familiar with the process of product die-casting;

- Proficient in operating die-casting machines and peripheral equipment;

- Can identify product quality issues.
