Job summary

Telecomunication in Selangor, Petaling Jaya seeks a Senior Modern Workplace Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune.

You will manage identities, device enrollment, security policies, and automation via PowerShell, collaborating with security teams and stakeholders to deliver compliant, efficient services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, implementing, and administering Enterprise M365 solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, iOS, and Android.
• Experience with Entra ID and AD Group Policy integration with Intune.
• Extensive M365 security experience including Conditional Access.
• PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Familiar with M365 roadmaps and upcoming features.
• Excellent problem solving and collaboration skills.
• Certs MD-102/MS-700 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.

Job description

The Modern Workplace Engineer is part of the Infrastructure and Cybersecurity team with focus on developing, implementing, and maintaining M365. Related core technologies include Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Intune. You’ll leverage your expertise in these platforms to assess the current Microsoft environment and collaborate with colleagues to inspire and inform the organization on innovative solutions to address business requirements.

Your Responsibilities: -

• Deploy and configure Microsoft 365 applications and services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and others based on organizational needs.
• Manage user identities and permissions within Microsoft 365, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, and license management.
• Manage the full lifecycle of corporate endpoint devices using Microsoft Intune, including device enrolment, configuration, inventory, retirement, and secure wipe for Windows, iOS, and Android devices.
• Configure and maintain device compliance policies, security baselines, configuration profiles, Conditional Access integration, and endpoint protection controls in line with organizational security requirements.
• Administer Windows Autopilot and standardized device provisioning to support consistent, secure, and efficient deployment of new and replacement devices.
• Deploy, update, and maintain business applications, operating system updates, and remediation scripts through Intune, while monitoring device health, compliance status, and deployment success.
• Troubleshoot endpoint management issues and work with users, service providers, and security teams to remediate non-compliant, vulnerable, or malfunctioning devices.
• Implement and maintain security policies, perform regular security assessments, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Provide support for Microsoft 365 issues, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to applications, connectivity, and performance.
• Monitor Microsoft 365 services' performance and proactively identify and address potential issues. Optimize service configurations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop training materials and provide user training on Microsoft 365 applications and features. Maintain comprehensive documentation related to configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Support various cloud-based environments, including IaaS and PaaS.

Your Profile

• 8+ years of hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and administering Enterprise Microsoft 365 solutions for collaboration and productivity such as Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive in an engineering role.
• Strong understanding of modern workplace technologies, including Windows 10 and 11, iOS, and Android.
• Experience with Entra ID and Active Directory Group Policy integration with Intune.
• Extensive experience in M365 security, Conditional Access, and PowerShell.
• Experience writing and maintaining PowerShell scripts for automation and system efficiency.
• Fluency with M365 product roadmaps and emerging features.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to Intune configuration and functionality.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Relevant Microsoft role‑based certifications are preferred, particularly Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102). Additional advantageous certifications include Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate (MS-700).
