Job summary

IJM Industry is seeking a Crane Operator to oversee crane operations at our facility. You will ensure cranes possess valid PMA fitness certificates and are properly labeled with registration numbers, while adhering to SOPs.

Your duties include operating cranes safely, sounding alarms when in motion, and keeping loads within safe capacity. Collaboration with maintenance for inspections is essential to ensure reliable equipment and a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Ensure cranes have valid PMA fitness certificates.
• Label cranes with correct registration numbers per PMA.
• Monitor and operate cranes in accordance with SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Crane availability with valid PMA certificates.
• Crane labeling with PMA registration numbers.
• Monitor and operate cranes following SOPs.
• Sound crane moving siren and turn on warning lights during motion.
• Ensure loads stay within crane's safe working capacity.
• Lift loads vertically, avoiding horizontal movement.
• Keep personnel clear of lifted loads.
• Coordinate with maintenance during inspections and repairs.
• Ensure hoist hooks have safety latches.
• Maintain control pendant/panel condition and labeling.

• 1. Ensure cranes are available with valid certificate of fitness (PMA).
• 2. Ensure cranes are labeled with relevant registration number (PMA).
• 4. Monitor and operate cranes as per S.O.P.

• 6. Ensure each work load is within the crane’s specified safe working capacity.
