Job summary

Grab is seeking a paid software engineering intern in Petaling Jaya. You will build and test backend services, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements.

You will report to the Software Engineering Manager II. The internship starts in September 2026 and is on site. Candidates pursuing a Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/CE with basic testing knowledge and Git/CLI experience are invited to apply.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (Python/Go/Java/Kotlin/Swift/C/C++).
• Foundational understanding of automated software testing (unit/integration/end-to-end).
• Familiarity with Git and CLI tooling.
• Available to start in SEPTEMBER 2026.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test backend services.

• Maintain technical documentation for backend systems and architecture.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues.
