Job summary

The Grab Malaysia Tech Internship places students inside engineering squads at Grab’s regional R&D hub in Petaling Jaya, Greater Kuala Lumpur. Interns contribute to production codebases that handle millions of daily transactions across Southeast Asia.

Stipend is 2,200–2,800 MYR monthly, laptops provided, and EPF/SOCSO coverage with hybrid office arrangements and flexible hours. Duration is 3–6 months for CS, software engineering, and product design students.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, IT, or related fields.
• Duration: 3–6 months full-time.
• Domestic or international candidates with valid Malaysian student visas for internships.

Responsibilities

• Write and release code for backend services, mobile apps, or web platforms.
• Find and fix software problems, handle tickets, and improve system performance.
• Join daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and reviews with engineers and product managers.
• Create unit and integration tests to keep systems stable.
• Write guides and API notes to help others use updates.
