Job summary

Safetyware Group Berhad is seeking a motivated student or recent graduate to join our backend team as an Intern Backend Developer. You will assist in building and maintaining backend services and APIs, and work with the IT team to integrate with third-party platforms.

You will contribute to code quality, database design, and automation scripts, while gaining practical experience through code reviews, documentation, and continuous learning in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Understanding of database technologies such as SQL and data modeling principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with the IT team to integrate backend services with 3rd party platform.
• Participate in the troubleshooting and debugging of backend issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Support the improvement of our codebase by writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
