Job summary

Luxoft seeks an experienced Android developer to join our technology centre in Kuala Lumpur. You will design, build, and maintain Digital Banking Android applications, collaborating with QA, BA, backend, and DevOps teams to deliver robust mobile solutions.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of hands-on Android experience with Kotlin and Java, plus API integration and Oracle DB knowledge, in an Agile/Scrum setting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Android application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Android Kotlin.
• Strong hands-on experience with Android Java.
• Good understanding of Android architecture and development lifecycle.
• Experience with application integration and API consumption.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Database.

Responsibilities

• Deliver project requirements and change requests within agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Develop mobile application features using Android Kotlin and Java.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into scalable Android solutions.
• Integrate Android applications with backend services and APIs.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and defect resolution.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely fixes for production and development environments.
• Work with Oracle databases for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Support application builds, releases, and mobile deployment activities.
• Collaborate with QA, Business Analysts, backend developers, DevOps, and other technology teams.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America are looking for Consultants to be part of the projectThe Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.The selected resource will be working in a newly setup technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
