Job summary

United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) in Malaysia seeks an experienced Relationship Manager to manage regional portfolios, including evaluating loan applications, conducting credit reviews, and cross-selling a wide range of banking products and services.

You will monitor facility utilization and profitability, build client relationships, ensure CDD/KYC compliance, and work within the Group Relationship Manager framework to deliver fast, quality service and maintain trusted advisor status for

Responsibilities

• Managing regional portfolios including evaluating loan applications and conducting credit reviews
• Marketing and cross-selling a wide range of banking products and services
• Monitor overall facility utilisation and profitability of the assigned portfolio
• Build rapport and develop meaningful networking to maintain account relationships with both existing and prospective clients
• Establish a trusted advisor relationship as 'The Trusted Banker to call' and ensure accuracy on CDD/KYC
• Identify client needs and capture new financing and cross-selling opportunities; negotiate for best margins to optimise profitability
• Deliver both in terms of speed and quality for all KPIs assigned
• Exposure in structuring cross-border transactions and/or umbrella facility
• Familiar with Malaysia FE A rules (FEA) and the Group Relationship Manager framework

Job Description

• Responsible for managing regional/ China portfolios including evaluating their loan applications, conducting credit reviews, marketing and cross-selling a wide range of banking products and services
• Monitor overall facility utilisation and profitability of the assigned portfolio
• Build rapport and develop meaningful networking to maintain account relationships with both existing and prospective clients
• Build client loyalty by establishing a trusted advisor relationship, as 'The Trusted Banker to call'
• Identify clients' needs and capture new financing and / or cross selling opportunities; negotiate for best margins to optimise profitability
• Deliver both in terms of speed and quality for all KPIs assigned
• Exposure in structuring cross border transaction and/or umbrella facility
• Familiar with Malaysia Foreign Exchange Administration Rules (FEA)
• Good understanding of the Group Relationship Manager and Field Relationship Manager framework
• Ensure accuracy on customer due diligence ("CDD") and Know Your Customer ("KYC")
