Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is expanding its Corporate Banking team in Malaysia. The role focuses on managing a portfolio of corporate clients, evaluating loan applications, and performing credit reviews to drive profitable growth.

You will monitor facility utilisation, build strong client relationships, and identify cross-selling opportunities across banking products. Compliance with CDD and KYC is essential.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree or Diploma / Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college.
• Strong interest in financial planning, investments and a sales-driven environment.
• Strong business acumen, proactive and highly motivated.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate clients including evaluating loan applications and performing credit reviews.
• Monitor facility utilisation and profitability for the assigned portfolio.
• Build rapport and develop networks to maintain client relationships and cross-sell banking products.
• Establish trusted advisory relationships with clients to drive profitability.
• Identify client needs and negotiate financing and cross-selling opportunities; aim for best margins.
• Ensure timely delivery of KPIs and maintain accuracy on CDD and KYC.

Job Description

• Responsible for managing a portfolio (Corporate clients) including evaluating their loan applications, conducting credit reviews, marketing and cross-selling a wide range of banking products and services
• Monitor overall facility utilisation and profitability of the assigned portfolio
• Build rapport and develop meaningful networking to maintain account relationships with both existing and prospective clients
• Build client loyalty by establishing a trusted advisor relationship, as 'The Trusted Banker to call'
• Identify clients' needs and capture new financing and / or cross selling opportunities; negotiate for best margins to optimise profitability
• Deliver both in terms of speed and quality for all KPIs assigned
• Ensure accuracy on customer due diligence ("CDD") and Know Your Customer ("KYC")

Job Requirements

• Possess a recognised degree or Diploma / Bachelor's degree, in any field, from an accredited university / colleges
• Has a strong interest in financial planning, investment and keen to work in a sales driven environment
• Strong business acumen, proactive and a highly motivated self-starter
• Positive attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent team work/spirit
