Job summary

Amphenol Corporation is seeking a Development Engineer to join the team as a Mezzanine Power Connector developer. You will conceptualize, design, verify and qualify products, ensuring manufacturability and meeting customer requirements. You will work with a global team and engage with customers throughout development.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, design reviews, testing, and transition to manufacturing to support new opportunities and customer demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Proficient in 3D modeling using Solidworks.
• Good understanding of drawing standards such as ASME Y14.5.
• Excellent understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Ability to communicate with global customers and all levels of the organization.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities/projects.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and develop power connector solutions per roadmap and opportunities.
• Work with Front-end team and customers to define product requirements.
• Lead product design reviews and communicate technical presentations.
• Develop testing programs to verify design intent.
• Present concepts to customers and incorporate feedback into design.
• Define product, application, and packaging specifications.
• Define verification and qualification test plans.
• Coordinate with NPI and manufacturing to transition to production.
