Menicon Malaysia is seeking a MES Support Engineer to assist in implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting MES within a busy production environment. You will collaborate with Production, IT, and Engineering to ensure smooth MES operations and ongoing improvements.

The role emphasizes learning and growth in manufacturing IT and automation, with responsibilities spanning system integration, data integrity, security, and SOP documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, CS, or engineering fields.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in MES, manufacturing systems, or industrial automation.
• Strong English communication; Japanese ability is a plus.
• Familiarity with XML, SQL, Java or similar programming languages is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in MES implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Support system users in troubleshooting issues.
• Coordinate with IT and manufacturing teams for MES-ERP-SCADA integration.
• Configure MES, manage user access, and drive process improvements.
• Participate in testing and validation of new MES features and custom programs.
• Maintain MES SOPs and training materials.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for system enhancements.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Production, IT, and Engineering, to ensure smooth MES operations and continuous improvement.

To support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in a fast-paced production environment. This role is ideal for individuals eager to learn and grow in the fields of manufacturing IT and automation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Production, IT, and Engineering, to ensure smooth MES operations and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of MES applications and related systems.
• Provide support to system users in troubleshooting issues.
• Work with IT and manufacturing teams to ensure integration between MES, ERP, SCADA, warehouse system, AGVs, and production floor machines & equipment.
• Support MES system configuration, user access management, and process improvements.
• Participate in testing and validation of new MES features and in-house developed programs before deployment.
• Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for MES support and training.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for system enhancements and troubleshooting.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by immediate superior.

Qualifications

• Education Level: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Year of Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in MES, manufacturing systems, or industrial automation.
• Skill(s): Proficiency in both spoken and written English; ability to communicate in Japanese is an advantage.
• Knowledge(s):

• (i) Experience or knowledge of XML, SQL databases, Java, or other programming languages is a plus.
• (ii) Experience or knowledge of MES in the medical industry will be an advantage.
