Job summary

Unicomp Group in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is seeking an experienced professional to lead strategy, M&A and integration actions across the group. The role focuses on defining strategy, corporate development, and end-to-end execution of M&A opportunities, working with C-suite leaders and regional growth heads.

You will establish business strategy for the group in China and International markets, identify investment opportunities, drive post-merger integration, and serve as the country/region M&A

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of commercial working experience in the manufacturing industry sector relating to investment projects.
• Seasoned professional in the M&A and project developments.
• Strong finance knowledge and skills.
• Excellent command of languages including English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Partner with C-suite to lead strategy proposals and market studies for the group's strategic initiatives.
• Work as a strategy partner to senior management on key issues impacting the group's strategic direction including new business and challenging areas.
• Support the M&A function with full lifecycle of non-organic growth strategy—from initial strategy, working with advisers, evaluating options, execution and post-merger integration.
• Prepare and present to steering and investment committees for Strategy, M&A and integration projects.
• Lead the integration process of successful M&A projects in the region.
• Project leader for integration process for cross-functional teams and present recommendations to senior management.

Unicomp Group has an exciting opportunity for a suitably experience and qualified candidate to bring their expertise, insight and experience to a key role within the organization. The role will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

What can you expect?

The core purpose of this position is to support the strategic initiatives and M&A and Integration actions for Unicomp Group, which will be including strategy definition, corporate development, execution and integration process. This role reports directly to the VP Strategy and M&A of Unicomp.

The successful candidate will need to develop strong connections across the business teams and work in coordination with C suite business leaders as well as the global and regional growth leaders for M&A. The role includes the establishment of business strategy for the group in China and International business, identification and development of M&A opportunities, execution of the M&A actions from end to end, and lead the integration process of the projects.

The M&A role will be the country/ region M&A business ambassador with accountability for the country’s non organic growth year-over-year.

Requirements

• Bachelor or above degree holder in Commerce, Finance, Engineering or any quantitative discipline
• Further education in the form of Masters Degree or MBA from a relevant quantitative discipline will be a plus
• At least 3 years of commercial working experience in the manufacturing industry sector relating to investment projects
• Seasoned professional in the M&A and project developments
• Investment banking and big 4 with relevant industry background will be a plus
• Strong finance knowledge and skills
• Ability to partner with senior management and external stakeholders effectively
• Excellent command of languages including English and Chinese
