Job summary

Oriental Coffee International Sdn Bhd (Retail) is seeking a customer-facing merch promoter to drive in-store and event-based sales, sharing product benefits and brand stories.

You will manage displays, assist guests, process transactions, collect feedback for marketing, and support promotions. The ideal candidate is passionate about food and hospitality, with excellent communication and a lively, engaging personality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in promotions, retail, or customer-facing roles preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident, energetic, and engaging personality.
• Passion for food, hospitality, and storytelling.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and during special events.
• Basic sales skills and familiarity with POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote restaurant-branded merchandise to in-store guests and at off-site events/pop-ups.
• Set up and maintain attractive merchandise displays in the restaurant and at promotional locations.
• Approach customers and share product benefits, stories, and usage tips to encourage purchases.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer product-related questions, and handle transactions when needed.
• Gather customer feedback and share insights with the marketing and product development teams.
• Support marketing campaigns and social promotions by encouraging photo ops and user-generated content.
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure merchandise is properly tagged, stocked, and displayed.
• Represent the restaurant brand professionally at all times.
