Job summary

Businesslist in Malaysia is seeking an experienced BIM/MEP engineer to deliver coordinated IFC drawings and Revit models for data center projects. You will work under engineering team guidance, performing clash detection and ensuring conformance to codes and standards.

The role involves close coordination with subcontractors, QA/QC, safety, and procurement, plus updating project documentation as execution progresses. A Diploma in engineering and 5+ years’ experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Revit BIM modeling software.
• Knowledge of local and international MEP codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical and mechanical IFC drawing packages under guidance of engineering teams.
• Develop and maintain Revit BIM models for project delivery.
• Conduct clash detection and produce coordinated MEP drawings.
• Support the preparation of MEP BOQs.
• Produce accurate as-built drawings based on site measurements and installation records.
• Coordinate closely with subcontractors, engineers, QA/QC, safety, and procurement teams.
• Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, codes, and standards.
• Update design documentation and revisions throughout project execution.

Job description

• Prepare electrical and mechanical IFC drawing packages under the guidance of engineering teams
• Develop and maintain Revit BIM models for project delivery
• Conduct clash detection and produce coordinated MEP drawings
• Support the preparation of MEP Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
• Produce accurate as-built drawings based on site measurements and installation records
• Coordinate closely with subcontractors, engineers, QA/QC personnel, safety teams, and procurement stakeholders
• Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, codes, and standards
• Update design documentation and revisions throughout project execution

The Successful Applicant

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in Revit BIM modeling software
• Knowledge of relevant local and international MEP codes and standards
• Minimum 5 years of experience within a construction, engineering consultancy, or related environment
• Experience preparing IFC drawings and coordinated MEP models
• Familiarity with clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination processes
