Job summary

Perak Community Specialist Hospital in Ipoh invites Medical Officers/General Practitioners to join our not-for-profit multidisciplinary team. You will provide primary healthcare, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and coordinate with consultants, nurses and allied staff.

An MBBS or equivalent with valid registration in Malaysia is required; 4–5 years MO experience and 1–2 years ED exposure are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (Bachelor of Medicine or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Valid registration and license to practice as a Medical Officer / General Practitioner in Malaysia
• 4 – 5 years working experience as a Medical Officer
• 1 – 2 years of working experience in Accident & Emergency case will be an advantage

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services including diagnosis, treatment and management of acute and chronic illnesses
• Work closely with consultants, nurses and multidisciplinary team
• Contribute to continuous improvement of ED services
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Refer patients to specialist services when necessary and provide appropriate follow-up care
