Job summary

Puteri Specialist Hospital in Malaysia is seeking a medical officer to manage patient care in the absence of a Specialist. The role covers outpatient services at the Accident & Emergency department and inpatient ward duties.

You will assess and examine patients, perform necessary investigations, provide emergency treatment, refer to Consultants when needed, and document all assessments and interventions in patient records.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years experience in A&E or wards.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Willing to work shift duties, weekends and public holidays.
• Strong leadership qualities and self-initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assess and examine patients at Accident & Emergency and provide urgent treatment.
• Attend to ward emergencies and oversee patient care in the absence of the Specialist.
• Refer to consultants as needed and document assessments and treatments.
• Ensure compliance with OSH Act, patient safety and hospital policies.
