Job summary

MAFAR GROUP SDN BHD is seeking a dedicated Medical Officer to join our healthcare team. The candidate should have strong General Practice knowledge, with preferred Orthopaedic or Surgical background.

Experience in circumcision procedures and basic ultrasound is highly desirable. The role involves providing primary healthcare, diagnosing and managing conditions, performing minor procedures, documenting records, and educating patients on treatment plans and preventive care.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or MMC-recognized medical qualification.
• Valid APC and MMC registration.
• 2–5 years GP experience.
• Orthopaedic, Surgical, or Emergency Medicine background advantageous.
• Experience performing male circumcisions.
• Basic ultrasound skills required.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services and medical consultations to patients.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions per clinical guidelines.

• Prescribe medications and order relevant investigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Doctor of Medicine (MD), or equivalent medical qualification recognized by the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
• Valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) and registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a General Practice (GP) setting.
• Candidates with an Orthopaedic, Surgical, or Emergency Medicine background will have an added advantage.
• Experience in performing male circumcision procedures independently.
• Basic ultrasound skills are required.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
