Job summary

Starcom Worldwide, Inc. is seeking a media buying and billing specialist in Kuala Lumpur. The role covers offline and online media planning, contract pricing, and client billing, with emphasis on accurate financials and timely campaign close.

The candidate will manage campaign bookings, monitor performance, and collaborate with Planners to align with Starscape templates, ensuring timely status updates and billing compliance.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience in media agency handling media trafficking or buying.
• Familiar with and have worked with major publishers.
• Proficiency in offline buying; experience with online buying and digital ad operations.
• Strong in numbers and intermediate Excel skills (pivot table and v-lookup).
• Analytical and meticulous with an excellent eye for details.
• A team player who can work with minimal supervision and is eager to learn billing tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive and able to prioritize tasks under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day media buying (offline and online) for campaigns.
• Deliver competitive master contract pricing through negotiations with media owners.
• Develop understanding of client business from planning to billing.
• Book campaigns per brief with confirmed media and correct financials.
• Monitor delivery and reconcile under-deliveries; audit processes.
• Support billing through invoicing, supplier invoices, and ad verification reports.
• Ensure 100% billing completion and timely close of jobs.
