Job summary

GS Paperboard & Packaging Sdn Bhd in Banting, Selangor, Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment. You will execute maintenance during planned and unplanned shutdowns, troubleshoot and repair pumps, bearings, conveyors, and welding-related systems, and monitor equipment condition.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma, or Professional Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment such as pumps, bearings, conveyors, welding, and related systems.
• Able to work in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, and support shutdown maintenance activities when required.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, hands-on, and willing to learn.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Willing to be based in Banting, Selangor (near KLIA Sepang).

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance activities in the plant and workshop.
• Execute mechanical maintenance works during planned and unplanned shutdowns.
• Carry out troubleshooting, servicing, and repair works on mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Conduct routine inspections, equipment checklists, and condition monitoring activities.
• Collect maintenance data and perform TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) tasks for preventive maintenance.
• Ensure mechanical equipment is maintained in good operating condition.
• Practice good housekeeping and maintain 5S standards in the plant and workshop.
• Comply with company safety procedures and work instructions at all times.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the superior from time to time.
