Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Wintec (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in Shah Alam, Selangor seeks a maintenance technician to perform daily monitoring and preventive/corrective maintenance on production machinery.

You will troubleshoot pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders, support production with rapid issue resolution, and assist engineers with investigations while ensuring full compliance and documentation. Responsibilities include maintaining spare parts inventory, providing around-the-clock maintenance support,

Qualifications

• Experience in 24-hour manufacturing environment is required.
• Able to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machines.
• Capable of debugging pumps, motors, valves and cylinders.

Responsibilities

• Support production by ensuring quick response to breakdowns and achieving equipment availability targets.
• Assist Engineer and Section Head with troubleshooting, investigations, and compliance documentation.
• Keep track of spare parts and inventory usage for control.

• Perform daily monitoring, preventive and corrective maintenance on machines.
• Troubleshoot and repair of machines such as pumps, motors, control valves and cylinder.
• Proactive in issue rectification and bring forward any innovative solutions to address operation issue, reliability improvement, cost and energy improvement.
• Assist Engineer and Section Head to do trouble shooting, investigations, reporting and keep the system and/or processes full compliance to the procedures.
• Support production activities at all times by ensuring minimum response times to equipment breakdowns and achievement of equipment availability targets.
• Required to do other maintenance work such as general repair and electrical works.
• Keep track of spare part and inventory usage to maintain spare part/inventory control.
• Responsible to day to day electrical/machinery maintenance and repair works.
• Ensure all documentation and data is complete, accurate and current.
• Work together with production and other departments to support Company's operations.
• Any other ad hoc duty given by section head.
