Job summary

WIDAD Facility Management Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a capable Mechanical Supervisor to oversee all mechanical activities and support Facility Engineers in implementing policies aligned with regional care procedures.

The role involves planning and detailing maintenance programs, supervising subcontractors, budgeting for mechanical contracts, and ensuring compliance with OH&S standards and safety regulations across facilities in Kuala Lumpur.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all Mechanical activities.
• Assisting Facility Engineers in implementing policies and strategies in line with regional care procedures.
• Prepare and update the maintenance and operation programs in detail.
• Conduct research, drafting methods and planning periodic maintenance on Mechanical systems and equipment.
• Plan and manage the use of human resources in handling Mechanical activities.
• Inspect Mechanical systems before and after maintenance work.
• Conduct sub-contractor appointments and equipment purchases for Mechanical systems.
• Conduct regular checks on areas and facilities and provide inspection reports to Facility Manager.
• Prepare and control the budget for all contracts under the Mechanical units and ensure timely and orderly maintenance of records and payments.
• Ensure Sub-contractor work is completed and done according to specifications.
• Supervise subcontractors during renovation work, renovations, upgrades and ensuring works are carried out per plans approved by authorities.
• Collaborate with other units, departments, and divisions to get work permits and work orders.
• Monitor spare parts stocks to be sufficient and obtain within the specified timeframe.
• Inspect and act on area damage reported by the customer.
• Prepare daily, monthly, and annual reports relating to Mechanical works to be submitted.
• Perform other relevant duties in accordance with company directives from time to time.
• Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines.
• Be aware of the duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly.
• Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers.
• Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with Company requirement.
