Job summary

Exentec Services Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Senior Mechanical Site Supervisor to supervise daily mechanical installation activities at site, including piping and associated systems.

You will coordinate subcontractors, technicians, and site manpower, review drawings and method statements, and ensure work aligns with project schedules and safety standards. The role requires a Diploma/Certificate/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline and at least 5+ years of relevant experience,

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily mechanical installation activities at site, including piping and associated mechanical systems.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractors, technicians, and site manpower.
• Supervise piping installation, supports, equipment installation, and mechanical connections.
• Review approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and installation procedures.
• Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, instrumentation, civil, architectural, and other trades.
• Monitor installation progress against project schedule and report any delays or site constraints.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure proper installation, alignment, testing, inspection, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Coordinate piping activities including fabrication, installation, pressure testing, flushing, and reinstatement where applicable.
• Identify site issues, clashes, and discrepancies and coordinate resolution with the project team.
• Ensure all work complies with project quality requirements and applicable Malaysian safety regulations.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and enforce safe working practices.
• Maintain daily site records, progress reports, inspection requests, and other required documentation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC personnel for inspections, testing, and punch-list closeout.
• Support commissioning, testing, and handover activities.
• Ensure housekeeping and site safety requirements are maintained.

Requirements

Diploma, Certificate, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

5+ years of relevant mechanical construction/site supervision experience, preferably in industrial, semiconductor, cleanroom, manufacturing, or tool-installation projects.

Strong piping installation experience is highly preferred.

Experience supervising mechanical subcontractors and site installation teams.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical, piping, and isometric drawings.

Knowledge of piping installation, supports, valves, fittings, pressure testing, and related mechanical works.

Familiarity with construction QA/QC requirements and site inspection procedures.

Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.

Able to coordinate multiple activities and work effectively with contractors and project teams.

Good communication and reporting skills.

Willing to work at project sites and support extended working hours when required by the project.

Preferred Experience

Semiconductor / high-tech manufacturing facilities.

Tool installation and hook-up projects.

Cleanroom or controlled-environment projects.

Process utility or facility piping.

Experience with stainless steel and/or process piping systems.

Experience with testing, commissioning, and project handover.
