Job summary

Exentec Services Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor to oversee daily electrical installation and tool-installation activities at industrial project sites in Penang.

You will coordinate electrical subcontractors and on-site manpower, review drawings and single-line diagrams, ensure safety and QA/QC compliance, and support testing, commissioning, and final handover. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential to manage interfaces with

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant electrical construction/site supervision experience.
• Experience supervising electrical subcontractors and installation teams.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
• Knowledge of cable containment, grounding/earthing, testing and commissioning.
• Strong safety awareness and QA/QC familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily electrical installation and tool-installation support activities.
• Coordinate electrical subcontractors, technicians, and site manpower.
• Supervise installation of electrical containment, cable tray, trunking, conduits, wiring, and distribution equipment.
• Coordinate electrical connections and interfaces with tool installation.
• Review drawings, layouts, specifications, and installation details.
• Coordinate with mechanical, piping, instrumentation, and other trades.
• Monitor site progress and ensure scheduled completion.
• Conduct inspections for quality and compliance with drawings.
• Coordinate testing, inspection, energization, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Identify issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with project specs and Malaysian safety requirements.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and enforce safe working practices.
• Coordinate QA/QC inspections, testing, documentation, and punch-list closeout.
• Maintain daily progress reports and site documentation.
• Support system commissioning, testing, and final handover.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe conditions on site.

Job description

Supervise daily electrical installation and tool-installation support activities.

Coordinate electrical subcontractors, technicians, and site manpower.

Supervise installation of electrical containment, cable tray, trunking, conduits, cabling, distribution equipment, and related systems.

Coordinate electrical connections and interfaces associated with tool installation.

Review and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, layouts, specifications, and installation details.

Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, piping, instrumentation, civil, and other trades.

Monitor site progress and ensure works are completed according to the project schedule.

Conduct inspections to verify installation quality and compliance with approved drawings.

Coordinate testing, inspection, energization, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.

Identify site clashes, technical issues, and installation constraints and coordinate corrective actions.

Ensure electrical works comply with project specifications, applicable Malaysian requirements, and safety standards.

Conduct toolbox meetings and enforce safe working practices.

Coordinate with QA/QC personnel for inspections, testing, documentation, and punch-list closeout.

Maintain daily progress reports, inspection records, and site documentation.

Support system commissioning, testing, and final project handover.

Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions at the project site.

Requirements

Diploma, Certificate, or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

5+ years of relevant electrical construction/site supervision experience, preferably in industrial, semiconductor, cleanroom, manufacturing, or tool-installation projects.

Experience supervising electrical subcontractors and installation teams.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, and single-line diagrams.

Knowledge of electrical installation, cable containment, cabling, grounding/earthing, testing, and commissioning.

Experience coordinating electrical works with mechanical and process systems.

Familiarity with construction QA/QC procedures and site inspection requirements.

Good understanding of electrical safety and Malaysian site safety requirements.

Strong site coordination, communication, and reporting skills.

Willing to work at project sites and support extended working hours when required.
