Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead end-to-end mechanical delivery for a data center project in Cyberjaya, Malaysia.

You will coordinate with internal teams, contractors and vendors, develop schedules and budgets, review designs, and oversee installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance to Tier III/IV standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10 years of project management experience in advanced manufacturing, data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, power distribution, UPS, generators, and cooling systems.
• Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project lifecycle for mechanical requirements.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth execution.
• Review and approve technical designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and Tier III/Tier IV data center standards.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.
