Job summary

Daifuku Oceania in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term contract to support automation initiatives across the APAC region. You will own key engineering deliverables and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on cutting-edge material handling projects.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in mechanical project engineering, with AutoCAD, Inventor, and BIM experience (Revit/Navisworks). Strong communication and autonomous work are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3-5+ years' experience in Mechanical Project Engineering
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor
• Experience developing and maintaining conveyor layouts, Revit families, Navisworks environments and engineering models
• Ability to independently prepare and interpret FDS, BOMs and engineering documentation
• Strong understanding of material handling, baggage handling, automation or intralogistics systems
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously

Daifuku Oceania is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract supporting cutting-edge material handling, baggage handling and intralogistics projects across the APAC region.

This is an opportunity to work on large-scale automation systems that keep airports, warehouses and distribution centres moving. You'll take ownership of key engineering deliverables, collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, and contribute to innovative solutions for globally recognised clients.

What You'll Bring

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3-5+ years' experience in Mechanical Project Engineering
• Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor (Revit Benefit)
• Experience developing and maintaining conveyor layouts, Revit families, Navisworks environments and engineering models
• Ability to independently prepare and interpret FDS, BOMs and engineering documentation
• Strong understanding of material handling, baggage handling, automation or intralogistics systems
