Job summary

A leading engineering firm in George Town, Malaysia is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to manage PCB manufacturing processes. The role requires a BSC degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience. Responsibilities include overseeing the assembly build status, conducting DFM checks, and supporting testing for PCB components. Strong program management skills and familiarity with CAD tools are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturability for PCB and Mechanical designs.
• Experience with development and testing for PCB components under Shock & Vibration and Thermal Cycles.

Job Scope:

• To follow up with the assembly build status for the manufacturing and assembly of PCB
• To manage Mechanical and manufacturing tasks, with action tracker and project status update
• To review Design for Manufacturability (DFM) for PCB and Mechanical designs.
• To conduct DFM checks, tolerance analysis, calculating mechanical force analysis.
• To support development and testing for PCB and system Shock& Vibration and Thermal Cycles.

Requirement:

• BSC degree Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineer.
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Understanding of manufacturing process. Should have strong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly of PCB.
• Program management Skills to manage Mechanical and manufacturing tasks
• Familiarity and previous work experience with EMS
• Strong understanding on Design for manufacturability for PCB and Mechanical designs.
• DFM checks, tolerance analysis, calculating mechanical force analysis.
• knowledge on development and testing for PCB and system Shock & Vibration and Thermal Cycles.
• Fluent in English ( speaking and writing)
• Knowledge to use Microsoft Project Manager
• Knowledge to use Creo/Solidworks tool or other 3D CAD tools.
