Job summary

JLL in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and manage MEP systems for on‑site data center projects. You will work with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure systems meet performance and regulatory standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, PE license preferred, and at least 10 years of experience with HVAC, fire protection, and infrastructure fit-out.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in designing and managing mechanical systems for data centre projects.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, standards and practices for infrastructure fit-out.
• Proficiency in design and/or project management tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, and implement MEP systems for newbuild data center projects.
• Prepare mechanical engineering specifications, drawings, and construction documents including HVAC and piping layouts.
