Job summary

Digital Edge DC in Johor, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to supervise and coordinate all mechanical systems across the project lifecycle for a mission-critical data centre. You will ensure quality and safety, oversee installation and commissioning of cooling, plumbing, and fire suppression systems, and work with multidisciplinary teams to meet tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of mechanical engineering with site supervision, preferably data centres.
• Familiar with Data Centre Uptime Institute requirements and green building standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation and commissioning of cooling, plumbing, fire suppression systems.
• Ensure alignment with design specs and project requirements.
• Validate method statements, shop drawings and ITPs.
• Maintain QA/QC records and weekly progress reports.
• Coordinate with MEP teams and design consultants.
• Champion health, safety, energy, and quality policies.
