Job summary

AIM AUTOMATION SOLUTION SDN. BHD. in Johor is seeking a motivated engineering student to support 3D mechanical design and 2D drawings for customized automation machines.

You will assist in BOM updates, assembly drawings and testing, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's degree with basic CAD skills and a willingness to learn, collaborate with engineers, and contribute to problem-solving during machine assembly

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical design, engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with 3D CAD and 2D drafting software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD, is an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of pneumatic systems, mechanical components, jigs and fixtures will be an added advantage.
• Able to understand or interpret basic technical and engineering drawings.
• Willing to learn and gain hands-on experience in machine design, assembly, testing and troubleshooting.
• Possess good problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in 3D mechanical design and 2D technical drawing for customized automation machines and equipment.
• Support the design and development of jigs, fixtures, machine structures and mechanical mechanisms.
• Assist in preparing and updating BOM, assembly drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Support the selection of suitable mechanical, pneumatic and automation components based on project requirements.
• Assist engineers with machine assembly, installation, alignment and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Participate in machine testing, debugging and design improvement activities.
• Coordinate with engineering, production and assembly teams during machine fabrication and system integration.
• Maintain proper engineering documentation, drawing revisions and project records, and perform other engineering tasks assigned by the supervisor.
