Job summary

Dairen Chemical (M) Sdn Bhd in Johor seeks a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to keep critical plant equipment running and lead mechanical projects. You will develop technical specifications, monitor performance, and drive improvements in a fast-paced chemical manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 1–3 years of experience, and familiarity with vibration analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology required.
• 1–3 years of mechanical engineering experience in manufacturing or chemical plant.
• Knowledge of vibration analysis is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance — Plan and execute upkeep of mechanical equipment and facilities to ensure smooth operations.
• Project Management — Lead projects end-to-end, with technical specs, timelines and budgets.
• Failure Investigation — Diagnose faulty equipment, identify root causes and propose remedies to minimise downtime.
• Spare Parts Supervision — Oversee spare parts inventory and timely replenishment for critical equipment.
• Reporting — Prepare weekly and monthly mechanical reports for management review.
• Emergency Response — Respond to equipment breakdowns to restore safe and efficient operations.
