Job summary

SSI SCHAEFER in Malaysia seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to oversee the production line maintenance and environmental compliance within our intralogistics operations.

You will manage treatment systems, perform routine equipment checks, troubleshoot faults, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and minimize downtime. A strong background in mechanical engineering and hands-on maintenance is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance.
• CePIETSO-PCP certification preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production line treatment equipment.
• Perform regular sampling and basic lab tests.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental Quality Act standards.
• Submit effluent monitoring reports to management and authorities.
• Manage chemical stocks, lab supplies, and spare parts.
• Repair mechanical systems and perform on-site fixes.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and recommend upgrades.
• Inspect and maintain electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Install, relocate, and maintain production equipment.
