Job summary

MCE Consulting Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to feasibility studies, conceptual and detailed design for data centre projects. You will prepare and review M&E drawings, coordinate with teams, and liaise with authorities for approvals.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, with 2+ years in engineering consultancy or construction and experience in data centre design and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge in air conditioning and mechanical ventilation design with active fire protection.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in engineering consultancy or construction.
• Experience in data centre design and commissioning is a plus.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Able to manage tasks and deliver projects on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Involved from feasibility study, conceptual & detailed design.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in Air Conditioning, Mechanical Ventilation design + Active Fire Protection Services
• A minimum 2 years’ experience in Engineering Consultancy / Construction
• Experience in Data Centre design & commissioning is a plus
• Exposure to design phase, contract administration, T&C, safety & quality management
• Good command of spoken & written English
• Able to manage tasks, think fast & deliver projects on schedule
• Eligible for BEM registration (PE or PEPC)
• BIM skills or ATD accreditation is an added advantage
