Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking an experiencedMechanical Engineer to design and oversee mechanical systems for water treatment facilities and infrastructure projects. The role includes preparing layouts, specs, and as-built drawings, as well as supervising installation, testing and commissioning.
The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years of construction experience, preferably in water infrastructure.
Responsible for the design, implementation and oversight of mechanical systems for water treatment facilities and infrastructure projects. This position also supports project execution, coordinates with clients, contractors and other stakeholders, and contributes to the preparation of technical and project documentation.
Develop detailed mechanical designs for water treatment facilities and infrastructure projects, including pumping stations, pipework, valves and other mechanical equipment.
Prepare plant layouts, technical specifications, equipment schedules, operation and maintenance manuals, and as-built drawings.
Provide technical support and oversee the installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with design and technical requirements.
Assist in preparing tender documents and technical proposals for water and infrastructure projects.
Report to the Senior Manager, Project Planning team and relevant parties on submission approvals and project progress.
Support project execution within approved budgets and in compliance with client and authority requirements and quality standards.
Attend site meetings and conduct site inspections to ensure installations comply with approved designs and specifications.
Support the Senior Manager in technical discussions, commercial evaluations, negotiations and other engineering matters for ongoing projects and tender proposals.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in construction projects. Fresh graduates may also be considered.
Experience in water treatment facilities and infrastructure construction is an added advantage.
