Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to support engineering, construction, hook-up, commissioning, and project delivery activities for oil and gas facilities. The role requires ensuring safety, adherence to technical standards, and alignment with project schedules.

The candidate will develop commissioning plans, lead the commissioning team, and prepare turnover documents for operations, with a strong focus on quality procedures and field testing.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required; relevant commissioning experience preferred.
• Experience leading commissioning teams.
• Familiarity with testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of design codes and oil & gas industry construction practices.

Mechanical Engineer

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Contract Duration: 1 year

Position Summary

Support the engineering, construction, hook-up, commissioning and/or project delivery activities for oil and gas facilities, ensuring work is completed safely, to the required technical standards and in accordance with project schedules and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop all plans and procedures for commissioning of systems.
• Ensure compliance with project quality procedures such as document control, change control, materials control, field inspection and testing procedures.
• Lead commissioning team during commissioning/start-up.
• Develop all turnover documents required for custody transfer to Operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Engineering Degree.
• Relevant engineering and commissioning experience.
• Minimum relevant experience: 6 years.
• Minimum experience in a similar role: 3 years.

Technical Skills and Competencies

• Familiar with international mechanical standards.
• Competent in testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Familiar with design codes and standards, and oil and gas industry construction practices.
• Shall be registered as a member of BEM.
