Job summary

ELSA seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead commissioning of mechanical systems in Miri/Bintulu. You will develop commissioning plans and oversee testing and start-up, ensuring adherence to quality procedures.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, have at least 6 years of relevant experience (3+ in a similar role), and be registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). The contract is 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant engineering and commissioning experience, including at least 3 years in a similar position.
• Must be registered as a member of the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), as required by the client.

Responsibilities

• Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules for mechanical systems.
• Lead the commissioning team during testing, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Ensure compliance with project quality procedures, including document control, change control, materials control, field inspection, and testing procedures.
• Coordinate mechanical inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare and manage turnover documentation for the formal handover of completed systems to the Operations team.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve mechanical issues during commissioning and start-up.
• Ensure all commissioning activities comply with applicable mechanical standards, design codes, project specifications, and oil and gas industry practices.
