Job summary

MODU System (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineer to support design, project execution, and installation of modular conveyor systems for factories and sushi restaurants. You will liaise with customers, internal teams, and suppliers to ensure project success.

The role requires a bachelor degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic engineering, proficiency with design software, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic engineering.
• Proficiency with design software and document management.
• Familiar with conveyor industry design tools.

Responsibilities

• Attend kickoff meetings with internal team and customers for project execution.
• Administer project documentation and advise production procedures/specifications.
• Coordinate resources to meet customer needs with minimal cost and downtime.
• Monitor availability of parts, accessories, tools, equipment, transportation, and human resources.
• Manage relationships and coordinate work between teams at different locations.
• Liaise with external parties such as customer vendors for in-progress and post-sales discussions.
• Prepare and monitor project schedule.
• Lead a team in installation and commissioning at customer’s site.
• Liaise with other departments to identify market expectations, trends, and customer needs.

Job description

Minimum of Bachelor degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic engineering

Proficiency in using software relevant to design, document management, email, and spreadsheets

Familiarity with design software and tools specific to the conveyor industry.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to work with various projects

Tasks & responsibilities

To attend kick of meeting with internal team and customers for discussion on project execution

To administer project documentation and advice production procedure/specifications.

To co-ordinate resources to ensure the fulfilment of customers’ needs and achieved the target with minimal cost and downtime

To monitor and ensure availability of parts, accessories, tools/equipment, transportation, and human resources for the project

To manage relationships and co-ordinate work between different teams at different locations to ensure all progress according to plans

To liaise with external parties such as customer/vendors for the in progress and post-sales discussion

To prepare and monitor project schedule

To lead a team in the installation and commissioning at customer’s site
