Job summary

PacTech Asia Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop laser bumping and bonding products from prototype to mass production. You will lead automation projects, troubleshoot design issues and collaborate with suppliers, customers and marketing to meet specifications.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and hands-on experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Willingness to travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Hands-on in assembly, problem analysis and solving.
• Able to use AutoCAD (2D) and SolidWorks (3D) and other relevant programs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced laser bumping and bonding products from prototype to finished product.
• Lead automation and equipment projects to meet design specifications.
• Troubleshoot design issues and guide multi-functional product development teams.
• Interact with suppliers, customers and marketing to align specifications and performance.
• Travel to project sites to understand manufacturing workflows and adoption into automation design.
