Job summary

Celestica in Penang seeks a Engineer, Mechanical Design to develop new mechanical systems and refine existing designs. You will perform 3D modeling, run simulations, and carry out calculations to validate solutions, supporting manufacturing throughout production.

You will work with cross-functional teams including design, customers, supply chain and project leadership to ensure robust, high-quality product development, incorporating feedback from reviews across manufacturing, test, reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Experience with 3D modeling and simulations is required.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Design, modify and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs.
• Prepare calculations and drawings for proposed solutions.
• Provide manufacturing support for designed systems throughout production.
• Review designs with cross-functional teams and customers.
• Submit drawings for review to management and engineering teams.
