Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Lead Engineer, Mechanical Design in Penang to develop new mechanical systems and sustain existing designs. You will perform 3D modeling, simulations and calculations, and ensure designs meet manufacturing, reliability and client standards.

You will collaborate with engineers, customers, and supply chain to drive robust product development, provide design for manufacturing input, and support during production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of related experience in mechanical design.
• Proficient in CAD tools and 3D modeling for concept to release.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement mechanical solutions and lead smaller projects.
• Review customer requirements and perform calculations and simulations.
• Create technical drawings and participate in DFx reviews with cross‑functional teams.
• Support manufacturing with design for assembly/ manufacturing feedback.
