Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Senior Lead Engineer, Mechanical Design in Bayan Lepas (Penang), Malaysia. The role develops new mechanical systems and maintains existing designs using 3D modeling and simulations.

You will validate systems, support manufacturing, and work with cross-functional teams including customers, supply chain, and project leadership. Responsibilities include leading engineers, reviewing customer specs, and deploying strategic programs while promoting best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4 to 6 years in a senior mechanical design role.
• Strong leadership and ability to mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and implementation of technical solutions across domains.
• Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers.
• Review and interpret customer requirements and provide feedback.
• Coordinate deployment of strategic programs and site-wide efforts.
• Create designs and drawings based on inputs and DFx reviews.
• Support manufacturing and finalize designs for production.
