Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead industrial site activities in Penang. You will oversee contractors and in-house teams to deliver projects safely, on schedule and to high quality standards.

The role requires 10+ years in industrial construction, with hands-on experience in HVAC, utilities and process-gas systems. Immediate availability is preferred, with hybrid work options and potential international remote opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial construction projects.
• Strong construction and site execution background.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, semiconductor, cleanroom, or industrial facilities.
• Hands-on experience in HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and utility systems.
• Process gas experience is an added advantage.
• Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary site teams.
• Based in Penang and available to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Project Manager and support overall project delivery.
• Manage and oversee all construction activities on site.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and site teams to ensure safe and efficient execution.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, safety, and productivity against project requirements.
• Manage installation and commissioning readiness for HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, utilities, and related mechanical systems.
• Review construction work packs, method statements and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, and commissioning teams to resolve technical and construction issues.
• Monitor and report project progress, risks, and site issues to the Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Support testing, commissioning, punch list management, and project handover activities.
