Job summary

Manufacturing Integration Technology Sdn Bhd is seeking a Design & Document Control Assistant Engineer in Bayan Lepas, Penang. The role involves preparing and updating 2D drawings, BOMs, and project-related documents, while maintaining standardized components and ensuring drafting accuracy.

You will support Design Engineers in mechanical design and documentation, handle document control for the Mechanical Engineering department, and assist in resolving fabrication issues.

Qualifications

• STPM, Professional Certificate, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Preferably 3 years of working experience in technical drawing/drafting.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks and/or Creo.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Able to read and understand mechanical drawings.
• Good attention to detail and document control.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to communicate in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, generate and update 2D technical drawings, BOM lists and other project-related drawings.
• Maintain and update standard components in theStandard Part Library.
• Ensure accuracy and quality in all drafting activities.
• Maintain proper standards for engineering drawings and project documentation.
• Manage and control Mechanical Engineering department documents and drawings.
• Support Design Engineers in mechanical design and documentation activities.
• Assist in resolving mechanical and fabrication-related issues.
• Prepare Purchase Requisitions (PR) for new parts and parts required for outstanding project issues.
• Ensure assigned tasks and project documentation are completed according to schedule.
• Work closely with Design Engineers and other project team members to support project execution.
