Job summary

Cisly Technologies Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. You will design mechanical components, prepare technical drawings, and support prototype development, testing, and validation to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

You will collaborate with customers, suppliers, and production teams, maintain engineering documentation, and help drive manufacturability improvements and cost-conscious design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; diploma holders with strong experience may be considered.
• Strong foundation in mechanical engineering, machine design and problem-solving.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and CAD for 3D modelling and drawings.
• Ability to read and prepare mechanical drawings with tolerances.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials selection.
• Project coordination: organize tasks and monitor milestones.
• Excellent written and spoken communication; detail-oriented and safety conscious.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and assemblies; create 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, specs and test records.
• Support prototype development, testing and validation activities.
• Coordinate with project management, purchasing, production and quality teams.
• Assist with BOM maintenance and engineering change control.
• Ensure designs follow safety and quality standards; promote manufacturability.
• Provide progress updates and support on-time project delivery.
