Job summary

TN Elevator & Equipment Services Sdn Bhd in Johor is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to service, maintain, diagnose, and repair JCB construction and heavy equipment. This hands-on role requires fault diagnosis across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems, with on-site and workshop duties.

The ideal candidate has technical qualifications in automotive/mechanical heavy equipment and can work independently or in a team, with a valid Malaysian driving licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or Certificate or Diploma in Automotive, Mechanical, or Heavy Equipment Maintenance (SKM Level 1/2/3, Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia or equivalent)
• Experience in repairing construction machinery or heavy equipment is an advantage
• Fresh graduates with relevant technical qualifications are encouraged to apply
• Able to troubleshoot and carry out repair works with minimum supervision
• Computer diagnostic competence
• Familiar with hand tools, power tools, and workshop and welding equipment
• Physically fit and willing to work at customer site and workshop
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Possess a valid Malaysian driving licence (Class D)

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of JCB construction and heavy equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related problems
• Perform repairs, parts replacement, lubrication, adjustments, and general overhaul works
• Attend to equipment breakdowns at customer sites when required
• Carry out inspection and testing to ensure equipment is safe and in good working condition
• Read and understand technical manuals and equipment schematics
• Prepare service and repair reports and maintain proper records
• Follow company safety procedures and perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Management
