Job summary

Career International in Malaysia is seeking a Production Planning professional responsible for planning functions for products sourced or manufactured in Malaysia. It also provides planning and technical support to Team Leaders and Sales staff on production control, lead times and stock availability.

The successful candidate will have a Diploma and at least 4 years' experience with SAP or similar planning systems, with strengths in capacity planning, production control and cost estimation.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma Education level.
• 4+ years' experience in computerized planning systems such as SAP or similar.
• Capacity planning and production control.
• Cost estimating experience.
• Negotiating supplier/sub-contractor terms.

Responsibilities

• Create Bills of Materials, Process Routings and Work Orders
• Supplier and sub-contractor selection and commercial negotiation
• Plan production Work Orders with the aim of achieving customer due dates
• Maintain and improve accuracy of MRP planning system
• Monitor workload and liaise with Team Leaders to ensure work is completed on time
• Coordinate and supervise sub-contract work as required
• Coordinate customer priorities with Team Leaders on deliveries
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
• Search for lower cost alternative suppliers and sub-contractors
• Prepare lead time reports for sales when requested
