Job summary

ULTRA CLEAN TECHNOLOGY (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Material Planner in Penang, Malaysia to support production readiness and on-time delivery.

You will manage end-to-end materials planning for high-volume part portfolios, maintain system data accuracy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain issues. You will identify bottlenecks, align suppliers to forecasted demand, and execute material plans that sustain production goals.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Industrial Systems Engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science/Mathematics/Materials/Industrial Engineering with at least 2 years’ experience
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred
• Willingness to handle paperwork and system updates

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule materials availability to drive production to meet delivery commitments
• Coordinate with Buyer, Operations, Programme and Warehouse for on-time delivery
• Maintain systems data accuracy and integrity, entering purchase and fabrication parts correctly
• Identify bottlenecks and implement contingency plans
• Renew, monitor and translate forecast into material plans and coordinate with suppliers
• Execute materials planning and purchasing for production fulfillment
• Review reports daily with Purchasing
• Coordinate with quality engineers on non-conforming materials
• Ensure on-time delivery of materials from suppliers
• Attend production meetings for communication and updates
• Generate management reports and perform other duties as assigned

The Material Planner manages end‑to‑end materials planning to ensure production readiness and on‑time delivery. This role oversees high‑volume part portfolios, maintains accurate system data, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to resolve supply chain issues. It proactively identifies bottlenecks, aligns suppliers to forecasted demand, and executes material plans that support production goals. The planner drives continuous improvement through reporting, vendor coordination, and quality engagement to meet customer and operational commitments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Parts maintenance checking before project kick in
• Plan & schedule materials availability to drive production to meet customers delivery commits
• Co-ordinate with other departments includingBuyer, Operations, Programme and Warehousefor on‑time delivery
• Systems data maintenance and integrity, key in purchase parts and fabrication parts correctly.
• Identify the possible production bottlenecks and have contingencies plans
• Work with existing vendor on the completion of the new revision material or temporary change order.
• To renew, monitor and translate forecast into material plan and pull in & out with suppliers accordingly.
• Execute materials planning and purchase for production fulfillment
• Review report daily with purchasing dept.
• To coordinate withquality engineers of any non‑conforming materials.
• Ensure on‑time delivery of materials from suppliers
• Attend production meetings and any others for communication and update purpose
• Generate management report and other activities as assigned by Superior

Educational/Certification Requirement:

Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics /Mechatronics/Industrial Systems Engineering

Experience Requirement:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Science/ Mathematics/ Materials /Industrial Engineering At least 2 years working experience
• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics /Mechatronics/Industrial Systems Engineering with At least 5 years working experience
• Preferably in manufacturing environment
• No fear of paper works and system update
